Mechanical shocks, falls

Mechanical shocks

Wether accidental (impacts), predictable (handling) or anticipated in the life profile of an equipment (landing shocks, pyroshocks,...), mechanical shocks are an integral part of the usage environment of the equipment.

They are naturally integrated to many specifications.Machine à chocs

Expertise

  • Achieving usual shocks (demi-sinus,  sawtooth, …)
  • Simulating pyroshocks and seismic spectrum
  • Accelerometric measurements can be realised
  • Possibility to realise "on demand" shocks with different duration and amplitude
  • Analysing results
  • May give advices in case of problem encountered
  • Writting testing report

Means

  • Shock machine MTS 845
    • Table dimension 1m x 1m
    • Wave forms Formes d'ondes semi sinusoidal and trapezoidal
    • Amplitude : 5 to 600g
    • Shock duration 0,2 ms to 50 ms
    • Acquisition chain HP
    • Working load limit 500 kg
  • Pyroshock machine
    • Drive free fall
    • Stimulation principle by pendulum system
    • SRS (Shock Response Spectrum) generation pyroschock type

Handling drop

During handling, the most important mechanical damages are suffered by packaging.

  • Achieving test at different height.
  • Acquisition system for accelerometer measurements.

Training

Training Department of Emitech Group

In partnership with the Training Department of Emitech, Adetests, its subsidiary, hosts 2 training sessions in 2013.
Accredited body since 1994, Emitech offers trainings directly linked to the laboratory activities specialised in environmental tests.

These courses are intended to all people who design, manufacture or market products and who have to fulfill applicable standards or qualifications requirements.
Our Training and Engineering Department located near Paris manages and coordinates your entire training project whether through intercompany courses or through intra-company courses when custom solutions is needed.

Enginnering, technical assistance, studies, ... for your qualification

Modal analysis

Adetests has the means to perform experimental modal analysis in its laboratory but also in-situ. Adetests can carry out measurements of vibrations, acoustic, vibro-acoustic.

It is also possible to realise structural calculation by finite elements in order to define the tests to realise on sub-assemblies which are too heavy or too big to be tested on conventional test means.

Documentary analysis

Adetests can realise documentary analysis: for the replacement of obsolete components or sub-assemblies.

We can realise comparative study of new products with former requirements or we can evaluate new risks and suggest additional tests to perform.

Writting QTP - Qualification Tests Plans

Adetests can write specifications or testing procedures, as well as complete qualification plan for all environmental components (mechanical, climaticand and electromagnetic compatibility).

Customization : In partnership with the laboratory of Versailles (Paris), Adetests can realise tests based on custom specifications about environmental or measurement data's.

Study and manufacturing of test tools

In partnership with Versailles laboratory and Environne'Tech we realise study and manufacturing tools with the relevant calculations if necessary.

Adetests, your french environmental qualification laboratory

About us

Adetests is a laboratory of environmental tests located in Saint-Chamond (Rhône-Alpes region, France). ADETESTS is well equipped (climatic rooms, electrodynamic shakers, shock machine, etc.) to support mechanical (vibration & shock) and climatic tests (heat, cold, humidity, high speed temperature), handling drop tests in varied demanding fields: Aeronautics, Space, Military field, rail & land transport, etc... We can also support noise measures, modal analysis, complete qualification campains, fluid contamination analysis, etc.

We can also support noise measures, modal analysis, complete qualification campains, fluid contamination analysis, etc.

Our history

Adetests joined the Emitech Group in September 2010. The know-how of our team previously built around the expertise area of Montblanc Technology Group specialized in solutions for materials used in harsh dynamic environments (such as vibration, shock and thermal: temperature, humidity,...

Commonly used standards are: RTCA DO160, MIL-STD, STANAG 4370, NF EN 60068, etc.

For a global management of your needs in environnemental testing, our services are completed with EMC, radio and electrical safety solutions provided by other Emitech Group centres.

Adetests is also member of AEROSPACE CLUSTER and MECALOIRE.

Our laboratory is Cofrac accredited (Cofrac accredited n°1-2472, certification and scope available on www.cofrac.fr - direct access to the document)
